Greater Richmond Dentistry is expanding and seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our close-knit, patient-focused team. This full-time, Monday–Friday role is ideal for a motivated professional who values quality care, teamwork, and a positive work environment.

Your Role

  • Assist the dentist during procedures, including crowns, bridges, endodontics, extractions, and dentures
  • Fabricate temporary crowns and bridges; take impressions and perform digital scans
  • Take diagnostic X-rays and process images
  • Prepare patients for treatment, explain procedures, and ensure comfort
  • Provide patient education and post-treatment instructions as directed
  • Chairside assistance, including instrument transfer, suctioning, and operatory setup
  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes in PMS
  • Clean, sterilize, and organize instruments and operatories according to OSHA, CDC, and Virginia Board of Dentistry standards
  • Monitor supplies, equipment maintenance, and lab cases to support efficient office flow
  • Assist with scheduling, follow-up coordination, and patient transitions between clinical and administrative areas

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant in general dentistry
  • Current CPR and X-ray certifications
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented with strong communication skills

    Greater Richmond Dentistry is seeking an experienced Insurance & Treatment Plan Coordinator to join our expanding, patient-focused practice. This full-time role is essential to delivering a seamless and positive patient experience—from insurance verification and treatment planning to financial presentation and care coordination.

    Your Role

    • Create and maintain accurate insurance plan tables within the practice management system
    • Verify dental insurance benefits and enter coverage details accurately
    • Manage the full pre-authorization cycle: submit pre-authorizations, track and receive responses, enter approvals in the system, and schedule patients for their appointments accordingly
    • Present and review treatment plans with patients, including insurance coverage and cost estimates
    • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally
      Schedule and coordinate patient appointments to support efficient provider schedules
    • Communicate clearly with patients regarding financial options, scheduling, and follow-up care
    • Collaborate closely with front desk and clinical teams to ensure smooth office flow
    • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, and Virginia Board of Dentistry regulations


    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in a dental office, with a focus on insurance coordination and/or treatment planning
    • Strong knowledge of dental insurance processes, claims workflows, and ADA CDT coding
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
    • Warm, professional, and team-oriented approach to patient care
