By the end of your appointment, you’ll have a clear understanding of your oral health and any recommended next steps, so you can feel confident about your care.

At your first appointment, you’ll receive:

A thorough dental exam to check your teeth, gums, and bite
Full-mouth digital X-rays and a panoramic X-ray to see what’s happening beneath the surface
Intraoral imaging, used as needed for a closer look at specific areas
Periodontal charting to monitor gum health
An oral cancer screening for early detection
A personalized treatment plan and consultation with your dentist
Time to discuss insurance, costs, and any questions or concerns

We care for patients of all ages, from little ones to grandparents, in a welcoming, family-friendly environment where everyone feels comfortable and supported.

Insurance & Payment Options

We accept most major commercial insurance plans, as well as Medicare and Medicaid. For patients without insurance, we offer fee-for-service options and flexible financing through CareCredit, with interest-free options for up to 6 months. CareCredit terms and conditions apply.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring a photo ID, your dental insurance card (if applicable), and a list of any medications you’re currently taking. If you’ve had recent X-rays or dental records from another provider, let us know, and we’ll request them for you to make your first visit as seamless as possible.

What if I don’t have dental insurance?

No problem! We believe everyone deserves access to great dental care. Our office offers clear, upfront pricing and flexible payment options, including Care Credit® financing, so you can get the treatment you need without financial stress.

Do you offer emergency dental appointments for new patients?

Yes, we do. If you’re in pain or experiencing a dental emergency, call us right away. We reserve time in our daily schedule for same-day emergency appointments so you can get fast, comfortable relief, even if it’s your first visit.

How often should I schedule dental cleanings and exams?

The degree of care I received as a new referral patient was astounding after battling with painful broken teeth for the past three months!  Traveling from 2 hours away and I am so grateful!  Where my original dentist had me wait 2 months to be seen and then referred me to an endodontist who was not in my network...THIS practice welcomed me and sent me DIRECTLY to an oral surgeon that very moment!  Tomorrow,  my pain will be abated!   Referred to a surgeon in my insurance network!  I was treated with such kindness and empathy by Greater Richmond Dentistry!  Imagine being seen immediately so that I would not need to make the trip another time!  IMAGINE THAT DEGREE OF CARE!  The team took this upon themselves to go and find some help RIGHT AWAY! If you are "clueless" about payment options, and things of that nature, she will describe everything in detail and you'll leave knowledgeable. The staff is also very patient, and does not start any serious work until you are fully numb. They follow our lead. If they give you numbing, but you can still feel it, they will immediately stop and give ypu more numbing. I had a great experience with my root canals and crown placement.
